I’ve been wearing Tim since way before they were ever fashionable… I have spina bifida and I was born with a numb foot, so walking on the snow in the ice has always been hard for me. I started wearing them in 1985 when I was still a kid because they didn’t make women’s boots that were tough and had good treads on them. So I started wearing them way back then and then they became fashionable later on… I’ve always had the tan ones and I always love the style the look the timberland tag that hangs off the side… This is my first time buying a black pair of Tim’s… And I got my normal size but I ordered white because I like to wear thick socks in the winter and I thought it be good to just order wide. But when I put them on they were so tight. I was very surprised because I have a size 4 foot and I ordered a 5 1/2 wide and they were really tight across the top of my feet and I don’t have swollen feet I have super tiny feet actually. They also don’t have the famous toggle tag that hangs off the side of your boot that was awesome what a disappointment because that’s like having a coach bag without your little coach toggle hanging off the side of your strap. I am keeping them because I need a new pair of boots and the hassle of returning them and finding another size which will end up being too big anyway I decided to just keep them and hope that they’ll stretch out a little bit. It’s been seven years since the last time I bought a pair of Tim’s and I remember you do have to break them in a bit. But they’re definitely pretty. Just know that I wouldn’t count on the “wide“ being actually wide. And you should also know that it doesn’t have the little suede Timberland tag that hangs off the laces of each shoe. I didn’t know that before I bought it. I guess it shouldn’t make a difference but it was just a bummer when I realized it wasn’t there. You pay a lot for Tims you should get the full package.Okay, so this is an edit from my previous comment. Deleted my OG comment since it's pretty irrelevant now.I originally bought the 7 since I wear a 7-7.5 in Nike, a 6.5 in Adidas, and a 7 in Allbirds (if that even matters). My foot is approximately 23.7-24 cm in length. (note, I also have super thin ankles, so the looseness of the heel may just be due that too). I was surprised how comfortable it was straight out of the box, but it definitely looked a bit used. There were scuff marks on the toe box and in general the leather and insole were much more pliable, soft, and really comfy. It was too large for me though, and my heel/ankle felt unsteady even with the tightest lacing job I could do. Since the point of a boot is stability, I returned for a 6.5.When I received my 6.5 I noticed several things straight away:1) the boot had plastic covers over them, indicating they were brand new. My size 7 pair did not, indicating they were used to some extent.2) the leather is really stiff compared to my first boots, and it takes a bit of pulling to get it on my foot (no, it's not too small, it actually fits quite well, I just need to be less lazy and actually loosen the laces more). It really will require quite a bit of breaking in to make them comfortable, but I'm confident I can do it. The Timberland website said boots SHOULD fit a bit snuggly at first, and over time the leather will stretch and conform to your foot. However, if your toes are pinched, that is not good. Some people said this is a heavy boot. I politely disagree. The weight is actually lighter than I expected, compared to other boots I saw at the store (like Doc Martens). It of course isn't going to be super light, like a tennis shoe or flip flops, because it's made out of leather, but you may be pleasantly surprised that it doesn't feel like lead weights on your foot. I don't know how long it will take to break in, but I feel these will be super comfy once they do.The best quality. Very comfortable right out of the box. Cant wait to wear them. Boots are true to size maybe even cut a little bigger. I tried mine with thicker socks and they fit like a glove. I got them to replace a pair that got me through eight winters. Hoping these last just as long.Very lightweighted, fit perfect, my feet are 24.5 cm long and skinny, I went for a size 7 and they fit perfectly.Having to ship things back and forth when it should fit. The same size fits in the store so it should thru you as wellI was afraid of ordering this item because it does say women size when you select but when you are checking out it says men size. But I took a chance and they arrived as women so I was happy. They fit perfect. And they fit great!! I had bought my exact size before and it was slightly too big, so this time I bought .5 size smaller and it fit perfectly!Definitely recommend these over other brands. They are worth the money. Super comfy insoles if you work hard on your feet all day.Have worn them almost every day since I got them - even to my fancy office! Haha! So comfy, great on trails, or in wet/wild and slippery conditions. Wore them hiking and they are super comfy and don't get too hot. Only complaint is that the shoe laces come undone super easy and often! Very slippery (almost waxy), otherwise I love them!Nice quality and color
